I Fucking Love Science Gets Its Own Web Series on Discovery's Test Tube Admin for popular Facebook page lands Science Channel development deal

Facebookers, rejoice: I Fucking Love Science now has its own video series on Discovery's digital network Test Tube. IFLS's progenitor, Elise Andrew, hosts the three-minute science news roundup, and it's frankly delightful and surprisingly substantive (maybe unsurprisingly substantive if you've been following Andrew on Facebook).

The IFLS Facebook page is wildly popular—6.65 million likes and countless reposts of Andrew's musings on astrophysics, biology, chemistry and anything else that crosses her mind. A post from the page that went live less than two hours ago has 7,000+ shares and more than 17,000 likes so far; the page itself is less than 18 months old. Revision3, acquired by Discovery last year, has already created two digital platforms for Discovery—Test Tube and Animalist, which will feature celebrity pets (to be clear: not pets of celebrities, pets who are themselves celebrities).

For her part, Andrew is also developing a TV show for the Science Channel. New IFLS content is set to pop up on Test Tube every Friday. The first ep feels a lot like a video version of the "Findings" page that runs in the back of Harper's. Here it is:
