The YES Network has signed a new multiyear extension with WFAN (660AM) to continue simulcasting Mike Francesa’s afternoon sports-talk show.

The new deal will allow YES to continue running the New York sports talk mainstay’s Mike’d Up: Francesa on the FAN, weekdays from 1 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., while adding his in-season The NFL Now on football Sundays from 9 a.m. to noon.

A staple on WFAN since 1987, The NFL Now includes commentary and analysis, as well as news, coach and player interviews and listener call-ins.

While terms of the deal were not disclosed, with his two radio programs and compensation for the simulcasts––plus his Sunday night WNBC show Mike’d Up: The Francesa Sports Report––Francesa easily out-earns former Mike and the Mad Dog partner Chris Russo, who bolted to Sirius XM in August 2008 for a reported $3 million annual salary.
