WNBC Names Six New Managers

WNBC, NBC Universal’s flagship in New York, named a roster of new managers as part of the station’s transformation of the traditional TV newsroom. The six managers, named Wednesday (Jan. 14) will develop and produce news content across all of WNBC’s platforms, including the station’s Web site, mobile site and two digital side channels.  

New members of the NBC 4 New York Content Center are: Meredith McGinn, senior manager, from WNYW, Fox Television’s owned-and-operated station in New York, where she served as assistant news director; Michael Horowicz, content desk manager, most recently executive producer for NBC, MSNBC, and other NBC properties; Jennifer Blanco, daypart manager-mornings, from CNN, where she served as a producer for Anderson Cooper 360; Ilyas Kirmani, daypart manager-days, from WTVJ, the company’s station in Miami, where he served as assistant news director; Ozzie Martinez, daypart manager-nights, from WFOR, CBS owned-and-operated station in Miami, where he served as executive producer for late news; and Vernard Gantt, field operations manager, formerly technical operations manager for NBC News, MSNBC, and NBC network in New York.
