CBS Radio’s WCBS-AM, the New York Yankees flagship since 2002, said Thursday (March 18) that it has signed a multi-year agreement with WADO-AM, Univision’s News/Talk/Sports station, to serve as the Spanish-language home of the Yankees.

WADO will carry the Spanish-language play-by-play broadcasts of all 162 home and away games, as well as postseason contests. Regular season coverage will begin Sunday, April 4, when the Yankees take on the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park.

“The Yankees broadcasts will perfectly compliment our quality lineup of sports programming,” said Carey Davis, station manager of WADO.

As part of the new pact, both WADO and WCBS will partner on a number of on-air and in-stadium promotions and collaborate on Yankees specialty programs.
