Fox News Channel’s John Gibson is set to take over Bill O’Reilly’s radio slot (noon to 3 p.m.) beginning Jan. 19 as host of Gibson on Fox.
The format of the show will provide a mix of news and segments from The John Gibson Show, as well as Gibson’s contrarian commentary on the day’s biggest news topics and stories.
“The John Gibson Show has shown a strong following with the news talk audience and we are confident that our affiliates will find Gibson on Fox as a strong alternative to The Radio Factor,” said Kevin Magee, executive vp of Fox News.
Bill O’Reilly announced earlier this month he would be leaving his radio show, The Radio Factor, sometime in first quarter, in order to concentrate on his Fox News Channel show, The O’Reilly Factor. O’Reilly’s radio show aired on 425 stations and Sirius XM Radio.
In addition to Gibson, FOX News Radio has grown to include a 24/7 news service, and several Talk shows including The Tom Sullivan Show, Brian and The Judge, The Alan Colmes Show and Fox Across America with Spencer Hughes.
