Univision Communications announced Tuesday (Jan. 6) it had signed a retransmission agreement with Comcast Corp. It’s the first time Univision has sought retransmission consent with a cable company rather than opting for must-carry.

Terms were not disclosed, but Univision had said in previous statements that it was seeking $1 per subscriber.

The multi-year deal covers carriage of Univision’s 14 owned-and-operated TV stations and its 17 owned-and-operated TeleFutura stations, the distribution of Galavision cable network; and network feeds for Univision and TeleFutura outside station markets.
