Tony Awards Draw Above Average Audience

The 63rd Annual Tony Awards, hosted by How I Met Your Mother star Neil Patrick Harris, rose to 7.45 million viewers, with a 1.8 rating/5 share among adults 25-54 and a 1.3/ 4 among adults 18-49 from 8-11 p.m. on Sunday, June 7, according to the preliminary Nielsen live-plus-same-day ratings. 

Comparably, that was its best ratings since 2006, with growth from one year earlier (Viewers: 6.27 million; A25-54: 1.5/ 4; A18-49: 1.1/ 3 on June 15, 2008) of 1.18
