Jamila Hunter Joins NBC in New Digital Programming Post

NBC has named Jamila Hunter to the newly created position of senior vp, programming and development, alternative & digital, NBC Entertainment.

Hunter, most recently vp of comedy development for 20th Century Fox Television, was part of the 20th Century Fox team that developed sitcom My Name is Earl for NBC and How I Met Your Mother for CBS.

At NBC, she will be responsible for developing alternative programming, while also working with NBC Digital Entertainment, including Web-based series development and distribution projects, as well as ancillary business development for Web properties.

Prior to her previous three years at 20th Century Fox Television, Hunter was vp of development and production at Bravo.
