Greater Media Pulls Smooth Jazz Off Philly's WJJZ-FM

After struggling with lackluster ratings, the Smooth Jazz format lost another major market Friday ( Sept. 5). Greater Media pulled the dying format from Philadelphia, where it aired on WJJZ-FM. On Monday (Sept. 8), the company launched a younger-leaning Adult Contemporary format featuring a variety of artists from Madonna, Rob Thomas and Kelly Clarkson to Rod Stewart, Elton John and Phil Collins.
