Workaround to Skype 2.8 Login Problem on MacBook Air
Skype is acknowledging problems running Skype 2.8 for OS X on the new MacBook Air.
Note that the login problems may not be specific to the Air. It might be the case that any new Skype 2.8 installation on a new (or freshly formatted) Mac may have login problems.
I tested this by installing the older Skype 2.7 for OS X on my new MacBook Air before installing the current 2.8 release. This sequential installation was a successful workaround for me.
