Did you know that one in three seniors now use social media? That’s up from just 13 percent in 2009. Almost one in five (18 percent) Twitter users are aged 50 or over, and a whopping 49 percent of online seniors have a Facebook account.
So you want to use social media to promote your business? First, you need to establish your presence. “Having a Twitter account today is like having a web page 10 years ago,” says Lauren Teague, social media manager of the PGA Tour.

That said, consistency is one of the key elements to building a solid Twitter brand, so some days you’ll have to power through to find something to write about. That’s where feeds can be of great help. By building a feed that includes all your favorite news sources, bloggers and content sharers, you’ll have a ready supply of topics that you can Tweet to your followers.
In April, Twitter announced the release of the MoPub native ads solution, complete with ad serving, targeting, and a programmatic exchange. This marked a watershed moment for the platform and has since helped advertisers achieve massive scale outside of Twitter’s walls. However, scale means next to nothing unless you can target the right audience.
Social media has quickly established itself as proven marketing strategy for brands of all shapes and sizes in almost every industry across the world, but some corporations are still resistant to get started.
