Hey, remember when everybody used to “surf the web”?

Of course you do. It was, after all, a pretty common turn of phrase just a few years ago. But in the crazy world of technology, particularly since the birth of social media, life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

And that includes language. It’s not just “surfing” that’s fallen out of use. Apart from your grandparents, when was the last time anyone said “www” out loud when recommending a website? And it works t’other way around, too – modern, buzzy tech words such as “tablet” and “Like” are stillvery¬†wet behind the ears.
