According to VentureBeat, the game not only features all college and pro sports, but it also “offers users a gathering place to engage fellow fans through friendly wagers, challenges, pools, trivia games, and more.”
Over two-thirds of Zynga Slingo’s players are outside the U.S. — Zynga Slingo saw a huge surge in traffic last month in terms of monthly active users. Slingo, Inc. revealed that two-thirds of the game’s players come from outside of North America, 80 percent of whom are women who play an average of over 80 minutes per day.
GSN helping gamers defeat breast cancer — GSN Digital announced this week that it’s partnering with The Breast Cancer Research Foundation for the month of October to increase support for breast cancer research. Players can donate their Oodles virtual currency for donations to the BCRF and enter in tournaments where 10 percent of the entry fee goes to the BCRF.

SGN gets in on the environmental game — SGN (formerly known as MindJolt) announced it’s teamed up with Pihilippe Cousteau Jr.’s (grandson of Jacques Cousteau) EarthEcho organization to add branded items and ocean conservation trivia into its Rescue Reef iOS game. The partnership runs through Oct. 17 and all the revenue from the branded virtual goods will go towards EarthEcho’s various efforts.
Kabam teams up with GameStop and Kongregate for Realm of the Mad God — Kabam’s popular Realm of the Mad God is going to be promoted both in GameStop stores and on its free-to-play online platform Kongregate. Starting this week, GameStop customers can pick up a Realm of the Mad God player card that unlocks exclusive content on Kongregate and 250 GameStop PowerUp Rewards.
