Perils of Facebook Journalism: HuffPo Publishes Wrong Photo of Times Square Bomber

On Monday, we learned how Facebook helped journos track down the iPhone finder. Today, we learn how Facebook tripped up journos looking for a photo of the Times Square bomber.

After news emerged yesterday that authorities had arrested a “Faisal Shahzad” in connection with Saturday night’s attempted bombing in New York, HuffPo journos scrambled to the social nets, found a Facebook profile of a man named “Faisal Shahzad,” and promptly posted his photo to the Interwebs.
