mSpot Unveils D2C Site
Mobile music service provider mSpot is going direct-to-consumer for the first time. The company, whose various mobile radio, movie, music sync and ringtone creation offerings have only been accessible through carrier services, has launched a consumer site for Make-UR-Tones.
Initially available for Sprint and AT&T customers, the new Make-UR-Tones site lets users choose a song from the mSpot library of 400,000-plus tracks and use the Make-UR-Tones editor to create a ringtone of their favorite 30-second snippet instead of being limited to what the labels want to offer.
