LinkedIn Says Millennials Want Year-Round Promotions

Finding the words to use with your boss when you want to move to the next level can be difficult. What do you focus on? Your performance? How well you can operate in your desired position? It isn’t easy, and you’ll always be plagued with the threat (and embarrassment) of rejection). Time of year used to be part of the mental promotion calculus, but some data from LinkedIn suggests that that may no longer be true.

Using data from its member base of more than 90 million, LinkedIn writes on its corporate blog, it looks as though the latest generation in the workforce, the Millennials, doesn’t prefer a particular time of year as much as older generations.

January has always been a popular month for advancing employees.
