Kobo Now Available For Android
Kobo’s eReading service is now available on Android-enabled smartphones. Android users can login to an existing Kobo account and download the eBooks they’ve already purchased to their Android-enabled device. A reader’s library and bookmarks are automatically synced across all the applications they use for Kobo.
The new Kobo app will compete with the Android-enabled Nook reader from Barnes & Noble and with an Android-enabled app from Amazon is set to debut this summer. Acer also announced plans for an Android smartphone and an e-reader at the same time, so hopefully the phones will come with a reader app as well.
