ISIS NFC Mobile Commerce: Not in 2011
Near Field Communications (NFC) is a short range wireless technology designed for secure mobile e-commerce. Some people (including me) believed that 2011 would be the year of NFC. However, as 2010 came to a close, it started to look like the NFC effort was much too fragmented. There were at least three separate projects by groups of major players that I reported on here.
