Google Editions Is Coming To Japan In 2011

Google is taking its time bringing Google Editions to the U.S., but the company may also have Japan in its sights for 2011.

The Sydney Morning Herald
reports: “US Internet giant Google said Monday it would launch an electronic books service in Japan next year despite a chilly reception from major Japanese publishers. The Japanese version of Google Editions may have to start with a limited number of titles, said Yoichi Sato, a strategic partner development manager at Google Japan.”

While, it is interesting to see Google wanting to expand Google Editions worldwide, as they have with the Google Book Project, we can’t help but wonder what Google Editions will really look like and when it will actually come.
