Barnes & Noble Launches NOOK Kids iPad App

Barnes & Noble has a new iPad app especially for reading children’s books called the NOOK kids app.

To promote the launch of the app, the book retailer is giving away two digital children’s books by Richard Scarry to NOOK kids for iPad customers and new NOOKcolor owners. The titles are Colors and Elephant’s Child, which will automatically appear in the customer’s digital library upon registration.

The new app is designed specifically for reading kids books on the iPad and includes features such as touch and zoom technologies, and B&N’s Read to Me narration feature.
