Bonnie Hofkin’s Take On Lady With An Ermine

Bonnie Hofkin recently received a rather unusual portrait request.

Bonnie Hofkin recently received a rather unusual portrait request. Instead of a standard corporate photo portrait for a company website, the client was looking for something other worldly that referenced the Masters of The Renaissance, in particular,  DaVinci’s Lady with An Ermine from 1489 with a couple of substitutions. The client was a stand-in for Cecilia Gallerani, an alluring young woman from the Milanese court, and her dog is a stand-in for the white ermine. A perfect pastiche!
