Amazon Has Released Three New Kindle Fires

Amazon has introduced three new Kindle Fire tablets — the Kindle Fire HD, the Kindle Fire HDX 7″ and the Kindle Fire HDX 8.9″. The company also revealed a new operating system for its Kindle Fire devices. All of the tablets have the latest Kindle Fire OS 3.0 “Mojito.”

The new Kindle Fire has a 1280×800 resolution 7″ screen with 216 pixels per inch, which is 66% more pixels than the previous generation Kindle Fire. The device also has a 1.5 GHz processor, 60% faster than the last model. The device costs $139 and ships on October 2nd.

The Kindle Fire HDX7 has an even higher resolution display at 323 pixels per inch screen. The device also has a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor which runs at 2.2 GHz. This is 3x the processing power of the previous generation Kindle Fire. It costs $229 and it ships on October 18th. The HDX 8.9″ device has an even higher resolution screen at 339 ppi. It costs $379 and ships November 7th.
