Advertisers Are Moving Funds From Print, TV And Display (But Not Social) Into Mobile

A new study has revealed that a large number of advertisers are planning to shift funds away from traditional ad formats into mobile ads over the next 12 months, but social media spend, both owned and paid, won’t be heavily depleted.

A July 2014 poll by Advertiser Perceptions found that two in five (41 percent) of advertising decision-makers will decrease funding in print advertising to better support their mobile strategy, which finished first overall in the survey.

34 percent of respondents will cut funds from TV ads, with digital display advertising also being reduced by 32 percent.

However, less than one in 10 say that they will be spending less on owned social or paid social media to allocate more to mobile.
