If you see a tweet or Facebook message from a friend telling you all about an illegal neck workout machine, a 100% solid gold headset or another, equally ridiculous “bro-tastic” product in the next few days, then you may get punked into watching a clip like the one above. Yes, yes: we know this is pure advertising, even if it’s “interactive” and surreal. But you’ll be hearing more about it soon—and this is after Weiden + Kennedy scored a viral hit with the creepy “singing moms” spots set to appear on the Super Bowl.
So: this is yet another way for a brand to get lots of attention. Also: we do hope that no one had any serious interest in these products. Just saying.
