  • Lamps Plus hired Spong as its PR agency of record. The nation’s largest specialty lighting retailer tapped Spong to “drive a leadership insights program” focused on consumer and trade media outlets to increase awareness as well as a corporate branding program. And yes, before you ask–there are plenty of lava lamps.
  • Silicon Valley’s McGrath/Power Public Relations and Communications will handle AOR duties for Ubiquity, Inc. a company that provides “seamless access to any type of media and content from all devices” and recently joined NASDAQ.
  • Nancy J. Friedman PR will be AOR providing integrated marketing communications support for SIXTY SoHo and Riff Hotels. The SIXTY (formerly 60 Thompson) will relaunch as part of a new hospitality company called Sixty Collective. Riff will launch two hotels in New York this summer: Riff Chelsea (formerly the Chelsea Star Hotel) and the Riff Downtown (an 80’s styled hotel in Battery Park).
  • Susan Magrino Agency also signed two new hotels: Las Vegas’ recently renovated The Cromwell and the Hyatt Regency New Orleans. Thankfully, none of the hotels mentioned encourage guests to show off (clothing optional) for pedestrians.
