Spin the Agencies of Record

  • Denver/New York-based Turner PR will be AOR for the newly created Bermuda Tourism Authority. The agency, which specializes in travel, tourism and lifestyle, will handle all social and media/public relations duties. On an unrelated note, we will never grow tired of linking to this video. On an even more unrelated note, check out these beards.

  • Susan Magrino Agency signed French champagne brand Nicolas Feuillatte, which is the #1 French bubbly brand and the #3 brand in the world (including Bermuda).
  • La-Z-Boy picked Spong as its AOR after a competitive review. Spong’s very specific responsibilities will include “educating female consumers” on the many benefits of an incredibly comfortable seat.
  • Atlanta-based Brandware Public Relations will be PR AOR for Lexol Leather Care, a brand whose products help you clean your car seats, belts, La-Z-Boy recliners and any other fine leather goods you may have lying around. Repeat: Fine. Leather. Goods.
  • The Earned Agency will handle PR/social/experiential duties for the amazingly named UK cyclewear brand Fat Lad at the Back. As its name implies, this company makes athletic wear for plus-sized men who like to ride bikes; founder Richard Bye writes “When we looked into it, there was virtually nothing out there for big blokes.” We don’t even own a bicycle and we still want to give them money.
  • Top luxury hotel Setai, Miami Beach signed IPG’s Current Lifestyle Marketing as its PR AOR. Current SVP Sara Joseph will run a campaign designed to increase awareness of the hot spot.
  • Wall Street Communications will handle PR for Archimedia Technology, a company that helps content producers archive their stuff without losing quality.
