KTTV, Fox Television's owned-and-operated Los Angeles station, will launch a new morning newscast, providing continuous local news and information coverage for five-and-a-half hours beginning at 5 a.m. Fox11 Morning News at 10 will debut Monday, July 14 and air weekdays 10 to 10:30 a.m. with live, breaking news, stories of the day, as well as entertainment and lifestyle features.

"This is a natural next step for our station, given the success of our early morning news and 'Good Day LA,'" said Kevin Hale, vp and general manager of KTTV. In May KTTV's Good Day LA was No. 1 among all critical demos including 18-34, 25-54 and 18-49.

The new newscast will be co-anchored by Tony McEwing and Jean Martinez, joined by entertainment and lifestyle anchor Lisa Breckenridge and Rick Dickert with coverage from SkyFox.
