Comedy clips from The Jay Leno Show are coming to radio. Beginning Sept. 15, Westwood One, via an expanded partnership with NBC Universal, will distribute Last Night on The Jay Leno Show, a 60-second feature of comedy excerpts from the previous night’s TV broadcast.

The new Leno feature is the latest product of Westwood’s partnership with NBCU, which includes Last Night on Tonight with Conan O’Brien, NBC News Radio, CNBS Business Reports, Meet the Press and other programming.

NBC has a lot riding on The Jay Leno Show in its new 10 p.m. prime-time (9 p.m. CT) slot. Having a daily feature on the radio could serve to help stimulate tune-in.

“Thanks to Westwood One, Jay’s millions of fans will be able to keep laughing with the launch of Last Night on The Jay Leno Show,” said Jerry Petry, executive vp of NBCU.
