Gannett Scores With Olympics

Gannett TV stations scored ratings gold during the Winter Olympics in Vancouver. KUSA-TV was the No. 1-rated local NBC affiliate in adults 25-54, outperforming the national average by 75 percent, per Nielsen.

KSDK-TV in St. Louis ranked third and KARE-TV in Minneapolis-St. Paul, was ranked fourth. WKYC-TV in Cleveland was No. 8.

In total, Gannett, the largest owner of NBC affiliated stations, had four of the Top 10-ranked stations in Adults 25-54 for NBC's 16 days of Olympics coverage.

"NBC provided two weeks of extraordinary Olympic broadcasts. Overall, it was a huge success for our viewers, our advertisers and our stations," said Dave Lougee, president of Gannett Broadcasting.
