The owned-and-operated ESPN Radio station in Pittsburgh, WEAE-AM, will soon be an owned-and-operated Radio Disney station.

National ESPN programming will continue through the end of the year, but local programming will disappear this week (Sept. 27), making way for Radio Disney, which currently airs on WWCS-AM. By Jan. 1, 2011, when Radio Disney loses its affiliation on WWCS, it will go full time on WEAE.

At first glance, it looks like CBS Radio’s new FM sports station in Pittsburgh (KDKA-FM) has all but run ESPN Radio out of town.
