Lifetime enjoyed a significant lift with the second-season premiere of its original drama series, Drop Dead Diva, drawing 3.12 million viewers Sunday night at 9 p.m., an increase of 10 percent from the July 12, 2009, series premiere.

The one-hour installment of DDD also scored on the demo front, averaging 1.45 million adults 25-54 (up 10 percent from last year’s opener) and 1.11 million women 25-54 (an improvement of 8 percent). While women 18-49 account for a smaller portion of the overall ratings mix, there was a concomitant increase among younger viewers.
