CBS and Fox both broke National Football League viewership records for their respective networks this season, with CBS averaging 17.2 million viewers per telecast and Fox averaging 19.1 million viewers per telecast, according to Nielsen Media Research fast nationals data.

CBS’ average viewers for its regular season NFL American Football Conference telecasts was up 6 percent over last year’s 16.2 million viewers and is the highest number of viewers for any network’s coverage of the AFC in 23 years.
