BET Networks, in conjunction with Grey Goose vodka, will debut a TV and concert series dubbed Rising Icons on July 27. Each 30-minute episode will offer a glimpse into the life of an emerging artist by chronicling their journeys at home and on tour.

The lineup of artists featured in the eight-part series, includes Chrisette Michele, Keri Hilson, Kid Cudi, Hal Linton, Melanie Fiona, Ryan Leslie, The Dream, and Walé.

The series is just the latest endeavor for the high-end vodka brand’s Grey Goose Entertainment division. It debuted in 2005 with the Iconoclasts series on the Sundance Channel. Live From the Artists Den, aired on Ovation TV, began airing in Jan. 2008.

Rising Icons breaks from past endeavors in its focus on up-and-coming artists, according to Chauncey Hamlett, brand manager, Grey Goose. “We really wanted to partner with people that could bring their story to the forefront, which is very key to the brand. The main thing is to solidify the association between these emerging artists and Grey Goose.”

The Grey Goose Entertainment presents Rising Icons concert tour kicked off last weekend. Concert information will be provided at Complex.com, which is the digital media partner for the effort. The next show will feature The Dream in Chicago.
