Lance Armstrong’s comeback ride has given Versus a huge lift, as the network’s Tour de France coverage is up 78 percent in average viewership after the first 10 stages.

Per Nielsen ratings data, Versus’ live morning telecasts of the Tour have averaged 479,809 viewers, a dramatic improvement over the 270,359 viewers it was pulling in at this time a year ago. (Armstrong, who retired from competitive cycling after the 2005 Tour, began planning his comeback last September.)
