Arbitron to Up Cell-Only Household Samples

Arbitron said Thursday (Aug. 13) it would increase the percentage of cell phone-only households in both its portable people meter and diary services by the end of 2010. The radio ratings company made the announcement following this week’s meeting of the Arbitron Radio Advisory Council.

In the PPM markets, Arbitron plans to increase the CPO sample target from its current 15 percent to 20 percent. The CPO sample target in Arbitron’s 151 diary markets will be increased from 10 percent to 15 percent.
