Law & Order: Criminal Intent Hits 90% of Off-Nets

NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution has cleared Law & Order: Criminal Intent in approximately 90 percent of the country as a daily off-net two-hour strip, beginning in fall 2011. 

This is the first time in more than a decade that a procedural drama has been offered to stations in a back-to-back episode format. Represented station groups include CBS, Fox, Hearst, LIN, Local TV and Sinclair.  

“Law & Order: Criminal Intent is a winning and durable franchise that will provide broadcasters and advertisers an alternative to the sameness that exists in Monday-to-Friday syndication,” said Sean O’Boyle, evp of syndication sales at NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution. “And by providing two episodes each day, we are giving stations the ability to program a block and create a destination for their viewers and advertisers."
 
The upcoming 10th season on USA will be the final one for Law & Order: Criminal Intent, produced by Wolf Films and Universal Cable Productions.
