Zynga is launching a range of Lady Gaga-branded features in its social games (which include the popular FarmVille and Mafia Wars) that will connect users to music downloads and other Gaga-related rewards.
The company plans to offer Gaga virtual goods in 10 of its games, which users can access from the company’s RewardVille site. GagaVille, a farm within Zynga’s FarmVille game, will include items like unicorns, crystals, and motorcycle-riding sheep; starting on May 17, FarmVille users will have access to exclusive Gaga tracks from her new album. Words With Friends, another Zynga game, will include a special Lady Gaga “word of the day” that, when used by players, will give them a chance to win free concert tickets.
Zynga is also selling Lady Gaga game gift cards at Best Buy stores, which will be redeemable for a free song download, a Gaga unicorn in FarmVille, and a chance to meet the pop star in person.
