Comedy.com, the humor-based Web video startup launched earlier this year by former UPN and Disney TV president Dean Valentine, has announced the launch of three original series.
The viral video hopeful, which mixes original comedy clips produced by veteran comedy troupes like Second City as well as amateur users, is one of a growing number of online comedy destinations, including Funnyordie.com and Turner's Super Deluxe. Among the new shows in the works are Glitch in the System, a weekly satire of gamer culture and news, and Incognegro, which stars comic Jordan Carlos--who's appeared on Comedy Central's The Colbert Report as "Stephen's Black Friend"--as a black man seeking his identity in New York.
In addition, Comedy.com will debut Do Unto Others, a video spinoff of the humor book of the same name. That show will offer users instructional, hidden camera scenarios as author Justin Heimberg shares wisdom on the best way to annoy friends and co-workers.
The new series are not the first forays for the startup site in the original content space. Already, Comedy.com features the daily news satire Newest New Next as well as Make A Hot Girl Laugh, which starts it's second season in June.
