Newspapers Continue Shuffling Down Grim Path
Last week, Gannett Co. said it would slash 100 management jobs, after laying off 600 employees a month before.
Earlier, Belo said it would eliminate jobs in the coming months at its Providence Journal, The Dallas Morning News and The Press-Enterprise in Riverside, Calif. Those cuts, along with voluntary buyouts, are expected to save the company $29 million a year.
