Nancy Gibbs Makes First Moves at Time

Digital team continues expansion

Two days after being named to the top position at Time (although she's been effectively runnning the magazine since July), Nancy Gibbs has made her first round of hires as managing editor.

Isaac Guzmán, previously the Sunday features editor at the New York Post, was named Time’s new culture editor. Matt Vella, a tech editor at sister title Fortune, is joining as business editor. In addition, Betabeat’s Jessica Roy is now Time’s newsfeed editor and Dan Hirschhorn, most recently of the now-defunct Daily and Politico, is continuous news editor, with oversight of Time's expanding full-time news coverage and web reporting team.
