NEW YORK Increased demand for Internet site design services helped aQuantive post 44 percent revenue growth in the fourth quarter, the company said.

The Seattle-based Web ad company said its Avenue A/Razorfish unit, which includes site design and media, had $53.9 million in revenue, a 47 percent increase from the year-ago period. Site design from the old Razorfish business contributed $34.4 million, up 40 percent from Q4 2004.

“We are seeing a real recognition on the part of advertisers that they need to have a great Web site,” aQuantive CEO Brian McAndrews said in an interview.
