NEW YORK -- Advertising veteran and Adweek columnist Neilan Tyree has been tapped by Euro RSCG MVBMS Partners, New York, to be executive director of business development.
With the newly created position, Tyree will head up a team that will create marketing materials promoting the agency to be used in new business pitches for new business. He reports to John Berg, President, Euro RSCG MVBMS.
Tyree comes to the agency after years as an independent consultant to agencies such as J. Walter Thompson, Merkley Newman Harty, TBWA/Chiat/Day and McKinney & Silver. He will continue in his role as a contributing editor at Adweek and will continue to write his column, "Man About Town."
His arrival at MVBMS is accompanied by a complete restructuring of the agency's new business department. Along with Tyree, Michael Carroll, most recently the account director on the Intel business, will serve as second in command with the title of director of business development for the New York office. Rounding out the team are Noelle Weaver, associate director of business development, who comes to the agency after stints at Publicis and J. Walter Thompson and new business coordinator Patricia Hamilton who joins from Arnold Worldwide in Boston, Massachusetts.
