CHICAGO LL Cool J breaks into the roster of Gatorade on-air pitchmen in a spot that broke during college football bowl game telecasts on New Year's Day.

The 30-second spot, from Omnicom Group's Element 79 Partners in Chicago, has the rapper rhyming about where the drink is consumed—"the Vet, the Met, the pit, the park, the lake, the Jake, the Bob."

He stands on a stage as video screens showing various venues and other Gatorade endorsers including Derek Jeter of the New York Yankees encircle him.

The spot ends with LL Cool J voicing Gatorade's "Tested in labs, proven everywhere" line, while the "Is it in you" tag also appears in onscreen copy in the background.

The spot aired Jan. 1 during telecasts of the Capital One Bowl, the Rose Bowl and the Orange Bowl. LL Cool J previously did the music for a Gatorade commercial in 2000.
