Mullen Affiliate Adds Ellison

Mullen last week continued an impressive new-business streak, securing advertising chores for Ellison Windows and Doors.

The business will be handled by Mullen/LHC, Winston-Salem, N.C., an affiliate of Wenham, Mass.-based Interpublic Group agency Mullen.

Mullen/LHC ob tained lead-agency status for Ellison following a re view involving undisclosed contenders. The shop will provide advertising, promotions and direct marketing services. The Welcome, N.C., company ranks as the Southeast's largest manufacturer of vinyl windows and sliding-panel doors.

"Ellison makes world-class products," said agency president John Fitzgerald. "We look forward to partnering with them."

The budget is undisclosed, but sources have estimated annual billings at $500,000-1 million.

Ellison is a division of Atrium Cos., which has annual sales of $500 million. Atrium em ploys 4,000 people in 50 locations across the U.S.

Mullen/LHC en dured a rough 2001, with billings and revenue each dipping more than 9 percent. The office lately has reversed that trend, how- ever. Earlier this year the agency won Wachovia bank's consolidated $60-75 million account, as well as retail chores for Nextel.

The Wenham office in 2002 has added to its client roster software company PTC, Eddie Bauer, the Department of Defense's Joint Recruitment ac count and Cascade Tissue.
