NEW YORK Microsoft’s MSN said it would introduce video ads and text listings to the new version of its MSN Messenger instant messaging software.

MSN Messenger 7.0 includes a new conversation feature on its instant messaging software that allows users to communicate by video. It will also include advertising, with MSN running 7- to 10-second TV-like Flash ads before users are connected. MSN will begin running only Microsoft ads on the service, but it expects to introduce more advertisers shortly.
