They probably wouldn’t work for free. Nonetheless, money has little to do with job satisfaction for a significant number of employees. In a recently released study conducted last fall by CNNfn and the Society for Human Resource Management, 605 workers were asked to gauge the extent to which salary and other types of compensation contribute to their job satisfaction. Four percent said it contributes “to no extent at all,” and 10 percent said it does so “to a small extent.”
