Moore Replaces Moehlenkamp, Who Takes Agency's S.F. Post
DETROIT--Another top Detroit creative is westward bound as McCann-Erickson's Kevin Moehlenkamp trades his duties on the $250 million General Motors Buick account for the top creative post at the agency's San Francisco office.
Moehlenkamp's de-parture comes about a month after Gary Topolewski relinquished the top creative post at FCB Worldwide in Southfield, Mich., for TBWA\Chiat\Day in Playa del Rey, Calif.
Replacing Moehlenkamp as executive creative director and executive vice president in the agency's Troy, Mich., office is Dave Moore, currently a senior vice president and group creative director at McCann's New York office.
Besides Buick, Moore will oversee creative for accounts including BulldogResearch.com, Delphi Automotive Systems and the UAW-GM Partnership.
Garry Neel, the office's managing director, said he does not foresee any major shifts in the agency's creative direction under Moore.
Moore, 38, joined McCann New York five years ago from J. Walter Thompson in Chicago, where he was a creative director. Accounts he has worked on at McCann include Agilent Technologies, Motorola and Sprint. Moore's only auto experience is a brief stint on Nissan regional business while at the Chiat/Day office in Chicago some years back.

He assumes a post at McCann-Erickson/A&L in San Francisco that was last held by Steve Sweitzer. Accounts serviced out of the office include Microsoft and Nestlƒ Beverage Co. K
