Interactive Network Nets 2 Chicago Shops
CHICAGO–And the winner is: iXL.
Interactive agency Two Way Communications here, which earlier had confirmed it was weighing several acquisition bids [Adweek, July 27], last week accepted a buyout offer from Atlanta’s iXL, one of the nation’s largest interactive agency networks. Terms were not disclosed.
As it had done the previous week in Boston, iXL made a double deal in Chicago, also acquiring Oak Brook, Ill.-based Ionix Development Corp. The two operations will be combined
into one, to be known as iXL- Chicago.
