NEW YORK Interpublic Group's Initiative said it has hired Scott Haugenes as senior vice president and group director of national broadcast, a new position, overseeing key clients such as America Online, Home Depot and Merck.
Haugenes, based here, will co-manage network buying with Ray Dundas, who continues in his role as svp and group director for network buying at the agency.
Both report to Tim Spengler, evp and director of national broadcast.
Haugenes was most recently svp of sales and marketing for the ABC Family Channel, which he joined in 2002. Prior to that, he was a vp at AOL Time Warner Global Marketing Solutions, in charge of developing cross-platform marketing alliances with Fortune 100 companies. Earlier, he worked at Grey and Ogilvy & Mather.
"Scott's breadth of experience working with top media companies and leading marketers will complement our strong existing team and enhance our ability to services our clients," said Spengler, in a statement.
