BOSTON The Holmes Group’s Rival Kitchen Products has contacted agencies about its Crock-Pot brand of slow cookers, sources said. The company spends about $1-2 million annually on ads backing the brand.

According to sources, the client in Milford, Mass., did not send out a request for proposals, but has contacted about a dozen small and midsize agencies in the New England area, according to sources.

Boston-based independent Connelly Partners currently handles the account. The shop has crafted mainly print-based efforts for the client over the past several years.
